Most people don't know it, but like any true hero, Bob Cobblestone had an arch enemy. Yes, even he had someone who was constantly attempting to counteract his efforts. This man, if you could call even him that, was none other than Sven Gaggengrussel, proponent of online payday loans and heir to the Brakkenhazzen candy bar fortune of Dusseldorf. Sven didn't like having to get loans in person, as his face, like any other good villain, had been hideously scarred many years before by an unfortunate gardening accident. Accordingly, he then devoted his life to ensuring the continuing rise in popularity of online payday loans, meaning he would never have to leave his home. (He even had a home-based business selling books about online payday loans)

Good vs. Bad, Online vs. Offline, and Bob vs. Sven

Bob Cobblestone was never going to let Sven achieve his ultimate goal, which was to completely eliminate "in-person" lending and borrowing from taking place. Bob feared this, as he knew that he could not achieve such amazing results with online payday loans, since they would effectively eliminate the need for his unsurpassed negotiating skills. How, Bob wondered, could he defeat Seven Gaggengrussel and his evil plot to eliminate all lending, save for his precious online payday loans?

Of Course!

The answer turned out to be so obvious that it's not even funny! Bob simply took his ridiculously amazing loan negotiating talents and used them when dealing with Sven! He simply invited Sven over for some tea and crumpets, during which which Bob tactfully explained his desire to keep "in-person" lending around. "Your face really isn't so bad," he told Sven. And guess what?

It worked!

Sven said "ok" and the two soon became best friends, going out on "man-dates" every Thursday!
